DOCUMENTS:

In Turkey, all cars have a set of documents, which MUST be carried in the vehicle when it is in use on the road. This includes the vehicle registration, ownership details, proof of minimum traffic insurance and any other insurance, if applicable. These documents will be provided by the car hire company on delivery or collection of the vehicle, and must not left in the vehicle when it is unattended.

DRIVING LICENCE

The minimum age for a person to drive economy cars 23 years old, and that person must have held a valid national or international driving licence for at least three years. This valid licence MUST BE CARRIED AT ALL TIMES by the driver when using the vehicle in Turkey. There is no requirement for foreign drivers to obtain or produce a translation of their national driving license.

INSURANCE

All our cars are with rental car insurance include 500 Euro-1000 Euro excess. Mini damage waiver cost from 3 Euro a day – 7 Euro a day .Full insurance ( include mini damage waiver) cost from; 8 Euro a day- 28 Euro a day All motor vehicles in Turkey must have minimum traffic insurance. Dalaman DLM Car Hire offers basic rental car insurance as part of the rental price. Personal Accident Insurance is not included .All car hire prices include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with excess, Theft Insurance and Third Party Insurance (up to legal limits). Please note that the theft insurance relates only to the vehicle, and does not cover any personal items, carried in or on the vehicle. In addition, damage caused by misuse, or gross negligence is not covered by the terms of the insurance.

In the case of an accident, including injury to a person or damage to a vehicle, the hire vehicle MUST NOT be moved from the accident site, and the accident must be reported immediately to the local police and to Dalaman Car Hire. Accident & alcohol reports must be obtained from the nearest police station, to ensure that the insurance and CDW remain valid. In Turkey, the driver is deemed to be 100% responsible, if they are under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs at the time of the accident. If this is the case then the insurance automatically becomes void. These accident and alcohol reports must be submitted to Dalaman DLM Car Hire within 24 hours of the accident or the Collision Damage Waiver is void, and the driver becomes responsible for the damage.Damages arising from driving on a dirt road are not covered by insurance.

ADDITIONAL TERMS OF HIRE.

In the event that the keys of the hired vehicle are lost, the customer will be charged for a replacement set of keys. This will be more expensive for vehicles that are fitted with an immobiliser system, because these keys can only be replaced by the main agents for the said vehicle. The customer will be charged for the costs of any repairs, mechanical defects, maintenance or transportation costs in the event of the wrong type of fuel being placed in the vehicle.

Damage to the under carriage of the vehicle is covered under the insurance. However, should such damage occur, such as heavy impact with rocks causing damage or scratching, the customer must notify the local police or gendarme, before moving the vehicle, and obtain an accident report. If this accident report is not obtained, the customer will be responsible for all costs associated with the damage, including repair, maintenance, new parts, and any associated transportation costs.

Any defects, repair, maintenance new parts which result from improper use of the vehicle will be charged to the customer. Confirmation of whether the damage or defect to the vehicle has been caused by improper use will be determined by an inspection and report by an authorised service station. Should the vehicle licence be lost during the lease period, the customer will be charged for the cost of a replacement licence. As this will render the vehicle unuseable, the customer will also be liable to cover the cost of any daily hire charges for the said vehicle, until the replacement licence has been issued.

DRINKING AND DRIVING:

If you are driving a hire vehicle in Turkey, the alcohol limit is zero. The penalties if you are caught driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs are severe. A breath test is routinely carried out by the police following any traffic accident. PARKING, SPEED LIMITS, ROAD SIGNS AND HIGHWAY TOLLS: If you park in a no parking zone and you are caught, you will receive an on the spot fine or your vehicle will be towed away. Where possible, use the car parks provided in the main resorts.

TRAFFIC OFFENCES:

Listed below are the general speed limits. In case of roadworks, local variations may apply. Within the town and city limits, 50 Km/h All roads outside city limits, including main carriageways, 90Km/h Highways (motorway, auto route, autobahn), 120Km/h Fiat Doblo & Minibus speed limits 80Km/h Should a customer incur a traffic penalty during the course of the rental period, then the customer is responsible for paying any fines or tickets. Most traffic offences involving fines are payable on the spot to the police, so please ensure that you obtain a receipt. If the customer has left Turkey, and Dalaman DLM Car Hire is later made aware of a traffic violation, then the company reserves the right to charge any fines occurring during the rental period, to the credit card details of the customer, which must be provided prior to taking possession of the vehicle. In Turkey, traffic check points are frequent and set up randomly. If requested to stop, stay in the car and be ready to show your driving licence, the documents relating to vehicle, and the car rental agreement, if requested. If your driving licence does not have a picture to confirm your identity, then the police may ask for some other form pictorial identity to validate your details.

DROP OFF / COLLECTION

The base collection point for Dalaman Car Hire vehicles is in Dalaman. Vehicles can be delivered to any location or city in Turkey at the request of the customer, but this will be subject to service and transportation fees, if a vehicle is collected from, or returned to a location other than Dalaman. This fee will increase in line with distance the company have to travel to drop off or collect the vehicle. This fee will be included in the quoted rental price.

If the vehicle is to be collected from Dalaman airport it will be delivered at the stated flight arrival time. Any subsequent car parking fees will be the responsibility of the customer. This will also apply if the customer has requested collection at any other Turkish airport.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS:

Only the driver or drivers included on the rental agreement are insured to drive the vehicle. A second driver may be added 5 Euro for basic cars and 8 Euro a day for mid size cars extra cost. Additional driver must have their driving licence details registered on the rental agreement at the time the contract is issued.

PAYMENT:

Payment is due when the rental agreement is signed, on delivery of the vehicle. Payment can be in cash or by credit card.

If the vehicle is returned after the agreed time, one third of the daily rental is charged for each excess hour up to three hours. If the delay is exceeds 3 hours, the full daily rental charge is due. Should you wish to extend the hire period, notification must be given to the company at least 48 hours prior to the end of the initial hire agreement to avoid any disappointment, as the vehicle may have been allocated to a new customer.

 

Dalaman Rent A Car offers an All in One rate that includes:basic rental car insurance with excess, 250 km free mileage a day ,long term rentals ( 30 days or more ) 100 km a day extra 0,20 Euro per KM, additional driver fees, Collision Damage Waiver.Delivery from ant to the Airport or the hotel (when only in citycenter) and sales tax. If you want to get the car from the hotel -which is out of citycenter- then you need to pay some cost up to the distance. Once you have made a reservation for a date, that means if the prices change you won`t be effected by this increase. So an Early Reservation is more advantageous then the late one.

EXTRAS:

Baby chair and booster seats are available for 2 Euro each per day.GPS is also available at an extra cost of 3 Euro per a day.

PETROL:

The vehicle will have at least a quarter of a tank of fuel/ diesel on collection. The vehicle should have the same amountof fuel in the tank on return to avoid excess fuel charges.

RENTAL PERIOD

Minimum rental period is 2 days.

LONG TERM RENTALS

Minimum period of rental is 1 month. Rates and conditions must be negotiated through our offices.

PAYMENT

Full payment is required by cash at the time of rental.Major credit cards i.e. Visa, Eurocard, Master Card, Access are welcomed.

Deposit ?

For all cars we take a deposit in case of any fine during the rental period. Basic car deposit 300 Euro , Mid size cars 500 Euro from Card and our bank holds for 4 weeks. Please note all deposits from the card will be with provision . Cash deposit also available . Basic cars cash deposit 300 Euro and mid size cars 500 Euro and we refund on return.

How can i do a reservation ?

You can do your reservation procedure is be composed by 3 easy step. First Simply step the dates and the times,second step choose the car and and end of enterence your connections(mail adress,gsm number,flight number etc.) fill your information. How can i get my car ?

If you choose getting the car at the airport a representative will meet you with your name on a sign and the car will be at the airport. If you choose hotel; then they will be waiting at the outside of the hotel and will ask the reception to contact you.

How can i make the payment ?

You can make the payment by cash at the delivery points and also with an valid credit card (visa/master).

How can i cancel my reservation ?

When you make a reservation you may cancel up to 1 week in advance of your designated pick-up time.

What should I do if I have problems with my car ?

Before you start driving, take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the vehicle`s equipment and operation, including heat and A/C, radio, lights, windshield wipers, spare tire, seat belts and door locks, and gas tank access. Getting distracted trying to figure out those things while driving can be dangerous. Don`t wait until the fuel warning light goes on to think about buying gas, especially if you don`t know how far it is between gas stations. If, in the unlikely event that your car malfunctions on a major thoroughfare, lock the doors, turn on the hazard lights and, if you have a cell phone, call the phone 24-hour roadside assistance at 00 90 554 242 74 74 . Don`t leave your vehicle. Wait in the car for service or the to arrive. Accepting help from strangers, no matter how well intended, is not a good idea unless you can`t call for help and they can. If, in the unlikely event that an emergency light illuminates on your control panel, don`t ignore it. Use good judgment about whether you can get back to our location safely and don`t hesitate to call our 24-hour roadside assistance.

Can someone else drive a car that I rent ?

Yes, you may add additional drivers to your rental agreement when you pick up your rental. Additional drivers must present a valid, acceptable driver`s license, be at least 23 years old.
